I used modern 85gr Btips to shoot a couple bull caribou this year with my 257 WBY. They worked great, I broke shoulders with them and of the three I launched I only caught one and it had broke a shoulder and the spine on a severe uphill shot. I like them and will continue to use them for deer sized game.
Only coyote I've shot with a 25 was with a 100 grain Herters SPBT out of the same 257wby. 75ish yards frontal shot exited the rear end with a quarter sized hole.
I've killed coyotes with 22 rimfires, birdshot, and all manner of CF rifles big and small. I would just use your deer load and rock on if you're not skinning them.

I am just going to end up loading up a deer load and pack this gun when I hunt farms or areas that ricochet of a heavier bullet is not much of a concern.
