Nash says thanks guys.. I sold some coyotes in town today, there was a guy at the buyer's with about an 18' trailer mounded up with whole coyotes. I'd say there were about 150-200. It was a beautiful sight...

Heard there is a guy out of Winnett,MT paying $3 for jackrabbits (don't know if its true or not). Could make some alright money this year on those things as they are thick as fleas down here.

Yeah that's Joe Jassak, who I sold to today.. If there were very many jacks around here, I'd be shooting them like crazy. Saw one on the way home, but he was too jumpy to get a shot on.

What would a fur company use jacks for? Just curious. Saw a flyer in a gas station in SD last month that announced the local fur buyer would be buying jacks this winter. Couldn't come up with anything offhand I had heard of being made of jackrabbit hide.

The guy here is either making jackalopes himself, or selling is them to a taxidermist for jackalopes, I'm not sure which.

Ben,
You and The Nash need to lay off the throttle. I'm fueling up and headed out tomorrow.
Won't sleep much.... grin.

Schools were closed yesterday, I had to work but my son went rabbit hunting with a couple of my retired friends. The dogs did a great and so did the shooters!

Called this fox in to about 3 yards and missed him. Need more practice at that distance. When he stopped again out at 20 yards though I dropped him. Have the 223 loaded to ~221 Fireball velocities with 12.5gr Blue Dot. I need to load down further, it's a bit much for fox.
