Do the 120-grain Nosler BTs in 6.5mm have the same reputation as those in the 7mm size? Seems I've seen cutaways of the 7mms that show them having a bit thicker jacket. Is that the case with the .260s? Thanks.

I asked Dogzapper just that once and he said yes, the 120gr 6.5s are fairly heavily constructed.

44 to 45 grains of H 4350 with a Scenar 123 on the top of the stack is good.

Most of the links to my pics were broken so I thought I would repost some of the loads that have worked well for me. All OALs include Sinclair bullet comparator. John 5 shots. Only three shots, but has done similar on multiple occasions. Also has a MV of 2940ish, which makes that bullet an absolute laser. 10 shots 10 shots. 5 shots 10 shots

120 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip is all I shoot in my 260rem, a great bullet for everything from deer through to hogs.
Experience is something you get, just after you needed it.

Lovin' my 140 Gamekings over 43.5 grs of H4350 and a CCI BR2 primer. Out of a 260 AI Ruger M77 with an unknown barrel I bought on ebay. Shoots bugholes. I don't know how fast they go, but the deer don't seem to know the difference.

I shoot the 120 gr. berger bthp target bullet and I shot a medium size mule deer at 230 yards and the deer dropped in its tracks the exit hole was about the size of a half dollar. I'm using h4350 powder and my velocity is about 2900 fps. This is the only deer that I have shot with this bullet and so far I am happy with its performance. Joe

Just got my Browning 1885 260 Rem. I'm bumping this to the top in the hopes of inspiring more discussion on favorite loads.:)

129 gr Hornady Interlock with 49.9 gr H4831sc. Little stainless Model 7 has always shot this load stupid accurate and this past cold drizzley Monday did it again. After checking at 50 shot a 1 hole 3 shot group at 100. It was still 1" high but 3/4" left. Hole in wet target was about 1/2" wide. Moved 2 clicks right and put it away. It has no right to shoot this well but has been consistent at 1" or so with this load.

Am I off or does it seem that 42.0 grains of H4350 under the 120TTSX seems light? My 130 VLD load is 43.5 H4350.

I have tried H4350 in my 260 from 123 to 140 gr. My barrel does not care for it. I tried lots of loads and ES /SD numbers were awful, and it showed down range. I have a big jug of H4350 sitting on my shelf and no current use for it. However, H4831 works awesome with 140's. Varget / IMR 4064 works great with 123- 130's. All powders provide single digit ES. My current load is 40.1grs Varget with 130 VLD Hunting, shoots bugholes at 100 yards and 1 1/4" groups at 400 yards with less than 1" vertical.
