I think what you've got there is an early 7 MM frame / receiver, Butch.
What dia. is the firing pin ?

Greg, Kinda hard to measure, but about .062? No erosion from firing on the rolling block. I think I have a good one and believe it or not, no rust. Are the square tenon threads very thin? They sure ain't like my Enfield or Springfield.

That has GOT to be an early smokeless than.
I cut my 12 TPI square threads for them with a .043" grooving insert and yes, they visibly come across as WAY narrower than the Springfield Arsenal 10 TPI square threads on everything from the trapdoor onward through WW1.
FWIW, Sharps chose the 10 TPI, for their barrel shanks, too.
