Can anybody recommend a pic server that actually works?

I have zero issues with photobucket. Website or app...

What issues are you having?

Photobucket has it's fits and starts but I've tried a few others and not been as happy as I have been with PB.

Photobucket is the best on the net , the problem is the operator

Works fine for me, but there might be an issue for some folks. I see similar complaints today on other talk boards.

The complaint seems to be that PB locks up after one signs in. I have the "log in automatically" box checked, so a cookie takes care of it for me.

Been using it for years, nary a problem.

I used it for years without issue. Now it will accept my download, but when I go to copy the location to add it to a post anywhere, I get a message that the image has been removed or deleted. I'm going to try posting the pics anyway, maybe it's a display issue.

Do it today. Tomorrow there may be a law against it.

Weird. I clicked on the icons with the missing pics, and was able to load the pics to my thread, I just can't view them on PB.

Beats the hell out of me, but at least I got the pics added to my FS ad.

If you don't like photobucket, try Imgur. Same basic format. Not sure if you can password protect stuff like you can on photobucket, but for most folks that won't be an issue.

I stopped using it for some time due to problems I was having with it. Recently went back, and things seem much better now.

I second Deerwhacker's suggestion: http://imgur.com/

Worked great for us for so many yeras I can't recall when Carolyn started using it...

Every now and then it'll have a minor hiccup, but works fine next time we go to use it.

I started using Smugmug. It's not free but I can access it from work if I need to. Our IT has things screwed down pretty tight on this project so Photobucket cannot be accessed. Never had an issue with Photobucket other than it not being available from here.

The one complaint (or 2) is their uninvited, bandwidth hogging video popup commercials that cover half my iphone screen. They start up as soon as you open up the viewer.

The other is their image compression degradation. Really pulls some of the quality out.

But hey, it's a free service and just have to live with it. Works great for most hatchet work on forum wars.
