I'm wondering where the 16gauge shooters are buying what they use for target loads. I'm thinking 1 oz #8s. I can find 1oz 6s for field use pretty easily but need an economical supply for skeet.

I purchase most of my 16 ga ammo from B&P and i will say this is the best upland ammo you can buy for your shotgun regardless of Gauge http://carolans.com/R/bp-1/f2-classic-16-ga/

I am 5 miles away from a Sportsmans Warehouse so I luck out every so often.

I like the Cabelas Herter shotshells. If you watch you can pick them up for $57 a case with $5 flat rate shipping. They are a cheddites hull, I can get 3-4 reloads out of them.

+1 on the Herters ammo from Cabelas. Bought 10 flats some time ago and find them to be the best target ammo for my Citori.

+2 on the Herter's from Cabelas for my 2 3/4" guns and then I cut the hulls to 2 1/2 and load them on my Mec 600 for my older Euro guns. It is pretty hard to load new 2 3/4" for less than the Herters when you can get the sale price.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

As much as I dislike Dick's, they usually have a pretty good stock of 16 gauge shells.

GF1, I tried Dicks. One Remington load at $8+ per box. I prefer a 1oz load with #8s. Thanks for the thought though.

That's pretty much par for the course. The Dick's I recently visited had both 7 1/2s (my preference) and 8s; don't know of anyplace that has them cheaper. I would pay a bit more if I didn't have to go to Dick's.
But I'll just keep pulling the handle of that MEC Grabber...

Actually, for Remington it's a decent price. The Herters is about 7.25 per box shipped. Their free shipping deal is over.
