Probably looked something like the front starling in this pic. I killed 2 birds with 1 stone....no make that 1 20gr screaming 17cal. pill!
I waited for 2 to line up, the front starling was spread in a 20' circle around the impact site.

Looked like about a 6" diameter mess. Wishing I would have had a FMJ load with me.

nice spots on it too.

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

What's with the blue tape on the rifle?

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6!

This may come as a surprise to some but bobcats fetch $40 to $60 in many parts of the country, if you are lucky. Some states open season as early as September. They are barely worth carrying to the truck. They kill more stuff than coyotes even think about. Nothing more than vermin from Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and pretty much anywhere east of there.

Coyotes are worth even less and they stink to boot. wink

It's a Campfire tradition, started when JeffO said you shouldn't use it because it will spook deer off when you are aiming your rifle at them. And I don't want to plug the barrel riding around with the muzzle on the floorboards..

This may come as a surprise to some but CA Cats are fetching some pretty good money right now.

And how do you figure Cats kill more "stuff" (whatever that means) than Coyotes.

If you guys want to kill chit for the fun of killing it fine,, just say so,, but don't rationalize it with BS.

Not rationalizing anything. I kill em for fun, no question about it. Just a nuisance animal around these parts. Turkey and fawn killing machines. Need controlled like everything else. Kinda like prairie dogs I reckon. I wish we got the money that you guys do out west, might look at it different if I did.
