I think one of these would be fun to have. Not looking for a collector's piece, just a knock around little 410. What is a good choice? Anyone have one they don't want anymore?

You and everyone else. The sxs 410 market is insane. A 410 sxs seems to command double or triple what the same gun in 12ga will.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

time to quit.....when a man reaches the point where he wants a 28 or 410 he has run out of reasonable gun wants and is just looking for some reason to stay in the game....enough is enough.. grin

I honestly have to agree... I started on my uncle's "something 1920s" 410 with 2 1/2" chambers (probably worth $8k now) and have no reason what-so-ever to want that gun again except it would NOW be worth stupid money. ZERO practical use anymore.

No offense intended, just you are chasing some dream it seems.

Yes, it would be just a fun thing. I have several 12 gauges for real work.

CZ Redneck? Oh, he said "Ringneck"! grin

I handled a little .410 o/u by Mossberg, and I hate to admit it but it looked and felt pretty good. Well under $1000. Darn near whipped out the plastic, and then I remembered I needed to get my butt to a Gunaholics Meeting...

Knew a couple guys who fielded .410 CZ's at the skeet club for sh*its and grins and liked what I saw, except for the big old Turkish eagle on the top lever. Do they still have that?

I'm holding out for an LC Smith .410 field grade that an elderly acquaintance has. I promised him I would say nice things at his funeral if he left it to me. I wonder why he was reaching for it as I ran out the door...

I had a Remington Spartan (Baikal) and while it was a very functional gun, a 2x4 had a more graceful swing. The cheaper import guns are heavy and bulky because they are built on a 12ga frame with .410 barrels. You lose all the light qualities that a small gauge should have. The best bang for the buck with this considered is the CZ Ringneck. Built on a smaller frame and a nice little gun for under $1,000.

Just bought a SxS .410 from Academy Sports. It's a yildiz. Shoots great. Came with 5 chokes and patterns tight enough I may take it turkey hunting.

I handled a Yildiz .410 today. This little Turkish gun felt pretty good to me. Had a smidge too much drop but I could shoot it. It seemed well made for the money ($470). I was surprised that it had a single trigger. What I would do with such a gun, I can't imagine.

RS, you can do like me. Shoot a bunch of skeet, doves, squirrels, rabbits, and for the most part just have fun.
I'm going to check out TSS reloading for .410, may shoot ducks with it.

There is a good deal on a CZ in the classified section - if I was looking for a SS instead of a 12 or 20 o/u it would be gone. Fanofthe41 has it for sale.
