I have a new condition 28 guage barrel for the T-C Contender Carbine. This is a blued 24" barrel made for choke tubes and with a T-C choke tube in Improved Cylinder choke fitted. It has a full-length steel ventilated rib.
Bought this barrel new about a year ago from Ed's Contenders. It is marked "MGM" and "USA" on the rib, and "T-C" and "28 guage 2 3/4"" on the barrel side, with a T-C proofmark on the barrel lug. MGM is Match Grade Machine, a maker of excellent custom barrels for T-C Contenders for many years.
I believe this barrel was made by them for the now-defunct "T-C Custom Shop" and was left over when that operation shut down, then sold to Ed's. Can't prove it, but it LOOKS identical to my earlier.410 barrel bought from a T-C distributor, except for the T-C logo on the latter. MGM certainly made at least the ribs on both of these shotgun barrels.
Intended this for bird and small game hunting on my G2 frame, but our drought has made that a dream, so I'm going to sell it and use the money for an MGM match .22 barrel. Fired one shot in it to prove function, and then put it in the safe until now.
The steel rib and slightly longer and heavier 28 barrel should make it a more able bird gun than my little .410!
Asking $375 (firm) shipped insured to your CONUS ZIP in the original MGM barrel sock. Can't do pix, but if it isn't as advertised when you get it, ship it back unaltered within three days of receipt and I'll send your money back the next day. Payment by MO only, please.
FYI, I believe that these blued barrels DON'T fit well on the Armalloy Contender frames. It fits like a glove on my blued G2.
