This fall I hope to be taking my son(13) and my dad(67), to hunt goats in WY. I have hunted antelope a couple of times with buddies. I'm considering not hunting for a buck myself and just shooting some does. If I go this route how to I ensure that I will get drawn only if they do? I plan to also have them put in for does.
Do I just stay out of the buck draw, and put in with them in the doe draw, and mark the option on not drawing doe tags if they do not draw buck tags?

Also if anyone would like to suggest a unit to apply for I'd more than open to ideas.

Your plan seems like the best way if you don't want to hunt a buck for yourself. I'd recommend getting yourself a preference point at least.

Check out the left over tags in the buck area from last year. There are usualy doe tags left over for most areas. When they go on sale be on the computer for a first come first serve buy in your area.

They put in for the buck, you buy doe tags if they draw. No PP's used for the does.

If you hunt with your kids. You should not have to hunt for your kids.
