Hello
I have a CZ577 in 17 Hornet that has given issue with a failure to feed aprox 1 round out of 15 seems to be an issue. To tell the truth before purchasing this rifle I had reservations about this round in a bolt action feed from the Mag due to the rimed case.

Now today I am looking at the CZ USA website and notice they have 13009 magazines in stock 1st time in Aprox 9 months. Only catch is a note WILL ONLY FIT 527 WITH SERIAL NUMBER LOWER THAN B3xxxxx. Wouldn't you know it The firearm giving me issues is a B4xxxxx.

Additional note indicates USE ITEM #13019 FOR 527'S WITH A SERIAL NUMBER HIGHER THAN B3xxxxx. Only problem is they don't list the new #13019 mag on the website.

Am I overly optimistic, Do you suppose they have found a reliable remedy to feed this rimed cartridge with a soon to be avaiable #13019 Mag for the 17 Hornet?

Managed To speak w a parts person at CZ today and was quickly asked for my serial no. Soon there after was asked for my mailing address as they do have the 13019 available for replacement parts.

When asking about the difference between the 13009 and the 13019 it sounded like there may be a slight diff on the rear detent height of the mag that acts as a stop.

Well I shall soon have a alternate mag in hand to compare to my present one. Hopefully this clears up the FTF issue.
Will soon see.

CZ 572 17 HH Failure to feed from Mag issue cleared up with the new 13019 Mag that showed up today under warentee.

Now may I figure how to make the old one work as flawlessly. Just need to make it ride a few thousands higher in the mag well. I am open for Ideas?

Good to go with two Mags. Measured every feature on the mag I could imagine. Only minor diff I could detect was the location of the front detent stop. still missing something here.

Original mag has aprox .015" more play in and out of the mag well than the new one, needing to be forced in with the magazine catch another .010" or so. Unable to see a cost effective way to decrease the slop we compromised by opening up the feed lips about .007" on the mag itself. this allowed the cartridge to ride a little higher and all is functioning fine now with the old and the new.
