I was in Tanzania last week for a short photo safari. While driving across the Serengeti we came upon three lions. One had bloody paws from a kill and another had a gazelle's head in its mouth! It was incredible to see lions in the wild like this. They were enormous and very muscular compared to the hand fed lions at the zoo.

I know, right?! lol. Although, there were 3 of them! I used up the last of my liberty on this trip, and will be heading back from Africa in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to getting back stateside and reconnecting with my family.

wonder if they stole another critter's kill to get the gazelle. I don't think a male lion could run one down, unless it got lucky.

There were 2 lionesses walking way out there, so they may have brought it back for the males? These guys were lovin' it. lol.
