How the Hell does anyone (and the most likely are the parents) do this?

This one has been eating at my head for days. I still don't know whether to cry, or vomit, or what.

I have friends in that area. The parents lawyered up just before the body was found in the septic tank under their trailer. Parents are known or suspected of being "pill heads". The boy hadn't been seen in school for a week prior to the disappearance.

All I can hope at this point is that he was dead before hand.

DUBLIN, Va. — The body of a missing 5-year-old Virginia boy was found in a septic tank Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

Noah Thomas went missing from his home Sunday. His body was found shortly after 1 p.m. ET Thursday near his family's home in Dublin.

Pulaski County Sheriff Jim Davis announced the discovery Thursday during a brief news conference.

The cause of death has not been determined. The body is being transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner in Roanoke for an autopsy.

Noah Thomas was last seen by his mother on Sunday morning at the family's home. Several hundred law enforcement officers and volunteers had been searching for him since then.

Police had received more than 100 tips from around the country.

Davis said earlier Thursday that the tips included sightings of boys and reports of suspicious vehicles in the child's neighborhood.

Davis stressed after Noah's discovery that no one is in custody and an investigation is continuing. He said the boy's family is cooperating with investigators. The FBI is on scene to provide forensic support.

If there's a worse way to die than being thrown into a septic tank, as a child - by your parent(s), and having the lid closed on you so you drown in piss and schit in pitch black, dead cold silence... I'm not sure what it would be.

In the best case, the little boy was killed and thrown into the septic tank to rot and hide the body. In the worst case, he was thrown in alive, by his parents, to drown in that tank full with a lid slammed over him.

You thought it appropriate to take into whether or not members here believe in a devil or not. You wanted to take this heinous act into a stupid, silly, meaningless debate about "christianity" so you could thump your Bible and beat your chest and feel better about yourself in some twisted, sick way.

God or not, Satan or not, religion or not, this kid got dumped into a septic tank by his parents. No amount of soapbox preaching by you or anyone else on either side of some stupid, meaningless religious "debate" is going to change that.

Hard to comprehend how any parent could do that to their child..

I can't think of a punishment fitting for such evil, even the death penalty would be getting off lightly..

meth heads do strange things when strung out. We had one down here not so long ago, where a mother high on meth, put her infant in the oven, thinking the child was dinner.

Most people don't do that if they're not involved at all. They let the police go ahead and rule them out so they they can then concentrate their efforts on finding the real killer/s.

Like my wife said, if they didn't want him they could have just dropped him off at our place. We would have taken care of him.

we had a similar incident in aransas pass several years ago. little 3 yr old girl fell into an uncovered septic tank. she was found and they attempted to revive her but she had been without oxygen to long and was brain dead. the parents were convict of some charge but i don't remember what.

Pretty much the way I feel about these things. My wife and I spent a lot of money to conceive and off the top of my head I can think of 2 couples I'm related to and another couple that I'm aware of that desperately want children, but just can't make it happen for one reason or another. They'd take a child like this in a flash and so would I. In fact, if I had the income to do it, I'd have several more children.

There's nothing on this planet that compares to watching a child grow and blossom and being privileged to be part of it. It sickens me that so many can't see the gift for what it is and choose to waste it.

The default condition of this world is evil maliciousness. The god of this world is personified as Satan. Consider the history of the human species. That history is predominately war, chaos and atrocities. The Bible is a book wherein its god is jealous, vindictive, murderous, and evil toward his creation. At one point he committed mass murder of nearly the entire human species, an act that proved he is not Almighty God. He even selected a murderer to lead his "people" out of bondage. He then killed most off for transgressions in a horrible manner. He demanded blood sacrifice of humans and animals as tribute to himself. When Almighty God sent Jesus Christ to redeem the world, even He who was sinless, was condemned by the highest religious and civil authorities, scourged and murdered as a blood sacrifice to this evil malicious deity. We are told that Jesus Christ's sacrifice and resurrection conquered death and redeemed us all for a life in paradise, which is an admission that this world can not be redeemed, and will always remain a slaughterhouse. A life of peace and plenty exists elsewhere in some spiritual realm. Righteousness, goodness and moral behavior have never triumphed in this world, and never will. History teaches that all we have accomplished is to fashion ever more destructive weapons to kill more efficiently, and produce ideologies with ever more fervent murderous intent, especially under the guise of religion.

If you are sickened by all this, by children murdered in the cause of evil, by criminals, by religions that require mass murder of infidels, then you are one of those with a good moral compass. Having that compass, and wanting to change the world, leaves you only one realization: That to eliminate evil you will have to kill everyone else who practices evil. Thus even righteousness becomes an evil bloodbath. Your only escape is forgiveness and death without committing any act of evil yourself. This is the nature of the universe, existence has a psychology, a consciousness underlying material life, and we are imprisoned by a malevolent spirit. Jesus Christ points to the exit, but you will most likely be martyred if you follow Him. Life itself is the ultimate Catch 22.

yeah, that is about as bleak an assessment as I have seen. Geez. Personally I think a little more highly of God Almighty.

Autopsy report preliminary:

The little boy died of a heroin OD.

The parents shot him up when they were getting high. They stuffed his body in a garbage bag and then rammed it into the septic tank under the trailer.

The Commonwealth's Attorney is brining every charge they can think of.

Just horrible.

The almighty Creator has a special place for both of them.

Same should be done to them minus the heroin

Good God, I cannot fathom the level of evil it takes, may the boy rest in peace and hopefully in the arms of Jesus. I can't think of anything horrible enough for the parents to endure that would make them pay for what they have done.

Yes. VA has the death penalty and ain't afraid to use it. On TX and FL execute more worthless POS than VA, and both of those states have a LOT more people and crime.

Lets hope its botched, and they get to suffer like that poor child did....

I sickened beyond words. On first reading all I could think is Dear God let the little man have died before being placed in the tank.

My second thought is the need for cruel and unusual punishment in a circumstance like this.

Don't know if they have the case to go after Capitol punishment, but I certainly hope the prosecutors throw the damn kitchen sink at 'em.

Even if the "parents" got the Death Penalty,it's still not what they deserve. There's nothing here on Earth that can punish those two people to my satisfaction.

It looks like the parents are safe from a death penalty. Their attorney will admit guilt as a tragic accidental overdose...nothing premeditated...

That's what I fear.

There is some emotional part of me that would like to see them suffer.

My rational side says, just end them and move forward.
