They pattern great no doubt but they are still plated lead.

Ballistically speaking nothing commercial trumps the Fed HW 6s or 7s at 1300 fps and 15gm/cc of density.

The Feds will smack that yote that comes in to your turkey call even at 70 yds no problem.

Another thing on the LB as I am sure you know is be very careful of your shots inside 20 yds!

In my experience and testing(dozen guns, chokes, and 3.5 an 3 inch loads) the long beards aren't any tighter inside 20 yards than any other turkey load. They just hold their pattern better from 20 on out. Inside 15 yards, any load out of any of my turkey guns looks like a baseball, or smaller.


Oh, and believe it or not, deer bite. Fairly hard.
