At 8,000 feet, the scenery is worth the extra hour drive compared to some of the lower, closer lakes.
I got off work Friday an hour early, and picked up my brother at the airport. We made it just in time to spend an hour on the lake before setting up camp in the dark.
Back before dawn the next morning, we trolled small lures and flashers till 9:30, and again at mid day and dusk. We hit it this morning for an hour, then packed up camp and headed down into the valley heat. All told we caught about 35 rainbows and one brown.

We had some competition from one of the locals

All catch and release by the way.

how deep were you fishing?

Yes, it was cold.
All fish were close to the surface.
I tried deeper with no luck
