Once again I have failed to take my own advice and just say "no thank you, I already bought one". My fiscal policies are as bad as the people in Washington but at least it is my money. As I await delivery of a STD 30 Gvt 06 yet another 300 Savage has emerged from the darkness and is headed my way.
Oh well I can (and probably will) go back to work and these are a good investment, probably better than my 401K.

You're going to have to return it Rich. The maximum allowed is only one Model 70 in 300 Savage per collector. Sorry.  I'll be giving you a call soon. I've got one coming I want you to take a look at to get an expert opinion. yooper

I have to learn to say no. I just can't help myself with these or any other fine gun. A NIB Parker reproduction 20ga came to visit Friday. I need to find it a new home.
I have failed the program more than once and I'm sure it will happen again, and again.

Not that I'm an enabler or anything but I have a 28 gauge Parker repro and it's death on anything avian. Pugs, that is some really nice feature on that stock.

Pugs the Parker reproduction is a great value for the money. I especially like the 28ga and it's one of my favorites. My addiction to Pare shotguns is a bad or worse than the M70's.
I bought the 20g to resell to help fund the Savage. I have several Parkers.
