Headed to the Flat Tops in Colorado in early August. Will be doing some stream and high country lake fishing. Anyone here fish it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Always remember that you are unique, just like everyone else.

Take along midge patterns. Tappers Lake is a good Greenback lake. You can rent boats there. All Greenbacks are catch and release. Most lakes require some float device for the trout are not close to shore.

Fished the Flat Tops about 10 years ago. Targeted the streams predominately. Fish were small to medium sized but full of fight and not selective at all as to pattern. As I remember, we did very well with Adam's and Royal Wulffs. I am sure you will have a great time. The scenery was beautiful and we saw very few people.
