OK so I see the Glock 42 thread up there and so as to not hijack, am curious a to the Fire's opinions regarding the Glock 42?
For some twisted-logic reason I keep thinking if I am going to go small, just go a tad small and get the 42, it sill go even easier in the pcoket

For me, there not enough difference in size between it and the 43 that I would want to carry a 380 when I could carry a 9mm.

I like my 42 as well. I'm sure the 43 will be a good pistol, but I can't find any flies on the 42.
It is very accurate, soft shooting and easy to conceal.

I like my 42 and my Kahr P380, I am under no illusion that the .380 is a good self defense cartridge. I see no purpose in a 43, as I can carry a 19 anywhere I can carry a 43. I rarely carry the 42 anymore and may indeed trade it towards a Gen4 G19. The P380 is unique as it comfortably fits in your front pocket. The 42's only gift is its light weight and its ability not to have the word Keltec printed on the slide anywhere.

I'm sure the 380 would work if in a gunfight, but i just can't make myself carry one when the 9 mm is offered in almost the same size pistol. My Kahr P9 is about as small as i want in a Carry Pistol . My other really small carry pistol is my Springfield XD-S 3.3 in 45 ACP

I don't know whether it is very good or not, but it has been highly effective in several shootings I have either investigated or helped to investigate in the last 20 years. If I hadn't seen a few people on those cold, stainless steel tables up at the Medical Examiner's office, sent there via 380 ball, no less, I'd think it had flies on it too. Thin skinned people tend to die when they are hit through important places with most anything, 22 LR included.

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better. You keep telling yourself the 380 is a good SD if it makes you feel better, the fact is it is not. No police agency uses one.

My point is, you have decided it isn't a very good cartridge for self defense. You base that on your own personal dislike of the cartridge. I maintain it is a viable option for a self defense cartridge based on people I have seen dead as a result of being shot with it. I do not say that it is the be all end all SD cartridge, only that it works.
