Thinking of loading these in .300 WM for deer season. Anyone load these? How do they perform? Thanks.

I wouldn't load them for a 300 mag., I find them to be soft in a 308.

I ran some last year in my .300Why. Sure don't want to screw up and "puttem in the meat". With 84.3gr of H-4831SC, running at 3300fps, anything but a neck shot got reeeeal messy. Loading TTSX this season. G

I uased themm a while back in a 308 and 30-06.They performed about like BTs. They open pretty quick, which I like, but didn't shoot quite as good groups as the BTs. On the other hand, they shot fine in my 7-08 and 7x57. capt david

At .300 mag velocity, I would most certainly pass on the SST and roll with the Accubond if you want a tipped bullet.

I ran 'em through my '06 for feral pigs a few years ago and they performed nicely. As suggested above, they really open up like the old NBTs. In my rifle, they also performed better than NBTs accuracy-wise.
I wouldn't run 'em in a 300 mag though... CLB gave good advice... interbond would be another good choice.

I shot 3 whitetail bucks with them from an 06, thought they were a bit soft. Do not think I would be interested in using them at mag velocities. Agree with previous poster on the Accubonds.

Might alsso look at the GMX or INNERBOND from Hornady. In my new .300 wsm I plan on using the NAB 165 grn at about 3150 if the accuracy is there......lots of choices....... I find that the fun part of rolling your own.

I shot a couple deer with these from a .30-06. On a braodside shot, the deer went down on the spot, but required a finisher. Bullet did not exit.
On a smaller deer quartering away, I was disappointed in the lack of penetration. I like Ballistic Tips and Accubonds better.
