Anyone used one of these custom Huskemaw scopes? Best of the West puts them on their custom guns and rave about them .. I need some feedback and real use examples and how they are holding up out there in the field before I can be convinced.

I did a little looking around and the impression I got is P.T. Barnum is somehow involved.

Nothing special about them and not a well established company like Leupold etc. I beleive they are also made in Japan what happens to your scope if they go under?? The best advice I can give you is go buy a Leupold with target knobs. Sight it in as normal, then shoot 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, and so on however far you want to go. Chrnograph it write down all the info including temp, humidity, baro preasure and altitude and keep track of it. Then once you find what ranges your clicks are on have Leupold build you a custom knob just for that load and gun. Its the same thing Huskemaw does.

Think they want like 1400 for it if I remember right. I'd get a Nightforce.

Yeah 1100 seems to be the going price .. I took a look at one just this afternoon and did not want to be biased by what I read but it did not really matter. The optics are not even on par to an entry level Leupold and it really shows.

I guess there is a new review of that scope now. Sounds pretty decent.

Checked them out recently. Overrated, and underqualified. I'd pass, readily. There are FAR better options out there for less coin.

I agree its a huge waste of money don't drink the kool aid, just pick up a new vx 3 with its new CDS turret, its the only scope I know of that has a zero stop, that way whatever the scope is set at is what it is, there is no way it can have an extra turn up or down in the turret which can mess you up, I have zeiss with a turret and unbeknown to me it had an extra turn in the turret that I didn't know about, it caused me a big problem on a cow elk hunt, I still shot the cow, but it took dang near a box of shells. you do only get 12 MOA to work with however that still gets me to 700 yards with my 270 winchester, which is pretty much about as far as a guy can shoot in the field without some sort of heavy not so moveable rest.

VA,

Got my Premier Reticles Heritage scope; 5-25x56. I set it side by side with my S&B 5-25x56. The Heritage certainly shows the S&B influence. It looks like the S&B on Steroids. It also fits in my Near Unimount.
