Anyone been able to mount a recent production Leupold VX3 2.5x8x36 on a Stiller TAC 300 action with low rings? I have tried Talley Lows and Talley Low Extended. The Low Extended "almost" make it. But would require filing almost half thickness on the rear base to clear the power adjustment ring.
If anyone else has a low mounting option for this scope / rifle combination, I would appreciate if you could share the details. Otherwise, will probably stick with the VX3 3.5x10x40 which has plenty of tube.
