This past year I noticed I used my spotter very little while deer hunting and think its time to give big eyes a try again. I plan to grab a pair before my up coming Colorado Elk and Mule deer hunt.

Local dealer has them marked down to $1000 and at nearly half what I would pay for the Swarovski big eyes I was lusting for these seemed pretty good.

I know I have seen reviews several years back but was looking for a more recent report.

What did you think of the Minox 15X58?

The 15x58s or 15x56s?
I am running the 15x56s this season to see how they hold up to the rest. but I honestly think I'll be going back to the 15x Vortex because I like em that much.
With all the playing around I have done, I am going to stick to the 15x56 Swaro's, 15x56 Vortex and 13x56 Minox as my three big eye battery. Use each at different times for different things just to be different.

The 15x58 Minox for $549 at the time were best bang for the buck. however with the newer bins, the x56 line of bins I think are better from the Minox than the x58's.

At $1000 bucks, I'd jump on the Vortex unless the OP can find a used Swaro set for $1700 or so. Then again $700 buys a new rifle.
