Mickey;
I have 4 or 5 from Tom all purchased in the last year and a bit. They are as good as any I've seen and I have about 45 different moulds. He does a lot of detail work, breaking sharp edges etc. and every mould I have from him drops bullets like they can't wait to get out of the mould. After New Years I intend to order another from him for my 303 Ruger 1. A 4 cavity flat point clone of Lyman 314299.
I can't see ordering from any one else given his attention to quality. As well, he runs his business like a champ, keeping you informed throughout the process of getting them. Just a gentleman in every aspect of dealing with him. And patient as well when you are confused.
My most recent was a mould for 357 that drops bullets at 185 with lube on. Not 184 or 186 but 185 so I suppose my alloy is pretty close to his. I sure hope his business outlives me.

Jeff, If you're asking me about my .30 caliber it is aluminum and a four cavity.

Mickey,
Merry early Christmas to you. I know you're excited. I'm anxious to see the pics of the big pile of bullets!
I just ordered my first mold from Tom tonight.
Take care,
Rick

I did mean molds, nice catch on your part. I can't remeber if you said your Lee's where 150 or 170. Regardless, I'm interested. I'd of liked you to throw out the first number, since there yours, as not to offend if were far apart. I'll shoot, 20 bucks. Jeff

They are 170 grain bullets. I must have been nuts asking $50 for both moulds. My apologies. I checked on the price and they are not worth anywhere near that. I was thinking I paid $30 each and I didn't. How about $25 for both moulds shipped? If that's too much how about paying for the shipping and I'll give you a mould since I have no intention of using them again and $25 ain't gonna make or break me. smile

Ha, I thought you just didn't want to get rid of em. That's what I get for thinking. I will take them for 25 shipped. PM your info and I'll get some money going. Thanks Coleman, Jeff

We should start a pool where we can throw in our orphan/junk molds where other people can take them if they can use them. Perhaps too a place where members of this forum can throw up bullets they cast, for others to try before buying a mold of their own, and likewise request bullets of a style they're contemplating.

This forum seems to be gathering a bit of steam! Let's keep it rolling.

Count me in. Who is going to handle the "account"? I have some 235 grain .452 ready and will have some .30 caliber pretty soon.

If we did it, I don't think there needs to be a physical 'store' so to speak. Perhaps a sticky at the top of the column inside of which we can transact exchanges of this nature electronically? Example: "I have a used Lee .83 caliber mold that needs a new sprue plate. Anybody want it? PM me if interested." Or "I'm thinking about trying my hand at casting .17 cal. 100 grain bullets. Anybody have a handful I can try out first? PM me if you do."

By the by, who's the moderator for this forum anyway?
