Looks like the Great Plains are losing population whereas the sunnier climes are gaining. Nothing new there really. Look at the Hispanic map though.

Trend map aside, here in Wisconsin I am noticing WAAAAAYYYYY more mexicans.

Don't see much troubling there at all.

There are a LOT more in the cities around here. Kansas City, Tulsa, Wichita...There are more in the country towns too.

In all sincerity then Brent, how can you not find the data troubling? The Hispanic population mainly represents illegals. Even if it didn't, when we are in such troubling times economically, why would we be letting even more workers in to compete for an increasingly limited number of jobs? It has nothing to do with race, but all to do with numbers and protecting our own citizens, way of life, and whatever treasure we have left.

You have a problem with Hispanics I guess. I don't. It sounds like it has EVERYTHING to do with race.

Lots of hispanics here, the numbers are increasing after falling off a bit in the last few years (my unquantified observations). Life is not going to hell, our way of life is unthreatened, our "treasures" remain ours.

The point isn't about race (though, I do find the fact that the maps are interesting...)

The point is about how those demographics arrive where they are, and how they get/got there.

Legal immigration by folks who want to come here, assimilate, work hard, chase the "American dream", and play by our legal rules is NEVER a bad thing and should be encouraged.

Illegal immigration should be stopped and turned back, regardless.
