I was not sure where to place this so I will start here. I have a 686 Onyx that is a bit tired after 20 years and I think it might be time for a re-build. The lever is now a bit left of center and from what I understand that is an indication of locking lug wear. I have looked and it would seem that a person can get oversized lugs and trunions for the rebuild.

Has anyone done this or have any experience with this issue? I know after all these years I should just go buy a new one. However this one has a a place in my heart as it was the last gun my father bought and gave to me as a gift.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. DD

AFAIK, it's a fairly EZ rebuild.

I would suggest calling the premier Beretta gunsmiths in the US - Cole Gunsmithing.

I will second COLE GUNSMITHING. They are the experts when it comes to beretta guns.
