Can a Ruger 77 in .338 Win Mag be re-chambered to a .338 lapua? What about the bolt face?
Thanks,

"Can" is often directly related to $$$ and or the willingness to accept a lower level of performance. I few things to think about.... Bolt face OAL Safety factor of using that size of case in that action. Appropriateness both safety and performance of rechambering a factory tube. If it was easy, cheap, safe, and appropriate you would see them all over. You don't. If you really want a 338 Lapua you will be money and performance ahead to sell of your rifle and put the money towards a 338 Lapua. If you are in love with the Ruger as a starting point find a Safari in 416 Rigby and go from there.

Thank you 264wm, did not see this one before. I have the Savage 111LRH in 6.5x284. Really like it. Super accurate.

If you want the Ruger build the 338 Rem Ultra Mag just as good or better then the Lapua if you load your own.
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

If you don't have a heap of cash you will have a 338 LM with no means to shoot it, there is no budget way to shoot a 338 LM.
