fought the crowds a few hours at the Tulsa show, stumbled across a 541T heavy barrel that looked about new, and was one of the scarce Maple stocked guns.

hadn't been on the prowl for such a rig per se; it was more of "the blind hog found an acorn" scenario.

snagged it & did some scope shuffling; i just got in a 4-12x
leupold a few days ago from a nice fellow here on the 'fire. It was going on another gun, but it seemed to look right at home on the 541t.

Mike, if you see this, here's your scope all mounted up. Hope to get in one more weekend of roaming the squirrel woods before the season closes.

Wish I had bought one of those when they came out, but, as usual I didn't have the cash at the time and couldn't justify the added cost. Still kicking myself......

Great looking rifle and looks just right with that scope on it.

Must be nice to go to a gun show where there are actually neat guns for sale. it seems all we have here are flea markets, cheap junk, anything that says tactical sells, jerley and scented candles.
the guns you find are way overpriced for used stuff, and they never sell//

FyrepowrX: Wow!
What a fantastic looking 22!
I hope it shoots as good as it looks.
Back when Leupolds were "more affordable" I had several of my 22's scoped up with Leupold 4x12's with A/O feature.
The fine Du-Plex worked extremely well for Varmints and small game.
I have never seen a factory 541 with the Maple stock like yours, til now.
Great photos as well.
I'll bet it was crowded at the Tulsa, Oklahoma show.
Enjoy your cool rig.

I bought a standard 541S in the late '70's and it has put down countless squirrels. I thought about adding one of those maple stocked models years ago when they hit the streets but didn't pull the trigger so to speak. That's one NICE looking rifle. Beautiful "quilted" figure.

I'm to the point that I drive to Tulsa, twice a year, about 500 miles one way, to attend the Wanenmaker show.

I have attended 3 times, and have not been disappointed yet.

Nice rifle FYREPWRX

Beautiful rifle. I had a 541T maple once. Several gunshow "experts" insisted the stock wasn't factory till I showed them the end label on the box!

Sure you're not in Oregon? Pretty much described our shows!
