I didn't have the money to scope it up properly and was in a rush to sight it in.

I know its not a Remington....

T/C ICON 6.5 Creedmoor

Was hoping to hit at least 2,850 fps with the 130 weight bullets. Most 6.5 Creedmoors have 26" & 28" barrels so I guess thats all I can get out of a 24" barrel.

I'm sure there are more accurate bullets other than the Scirocco II, but they will work for hunting.

The Pentax is clear and fairly bright, watched a doe feeding this evening at 150 yards well past legal light. Sort of reminds me of a Nikon Prostaff but without the nice exterior finish.

These three shots were the 7,8 & 9 shot out of the rifle.

I fired a 5 shot group that measured 1.2"

kind of figure the Nosler 120 gr Ballistic Tip and the Berger 130 gr would probably shrink the groups a little.

Heavy guns but I think they copied the 5R rifling. It should be accurate. Hard to find ammo for.

No need to be sorry. As long as you like it. So what if it isnt a Remington. True they are a big part of the big picture as far as customizing rifles goes. I own a custom built on a 700 and love it. But I wont be taking the 700 plunge any more. Too many quality custom actions out there that can be had in some cases for less than the cost of a 700 and having it "blueprinted". So go out and enjoy your rifle and screw what everyone else thinks. Do like the "normal" looking bolt handle. Every icon I have ever seen had that funny lookin "spoon" handle on it.

I wouldn't call it heavy, just fills "firm in the hands".

Might try the 140 gr. Bergers at say 2,700 fps

You gotta love the long 6.5's
