I found one of these under the tree this morning, and I have never loaded for one of these rascals. I was wondering what grain (general purpose) bullet and powder you guys would recommend with which to start. It allegedly has a 1 in 14 twist. CP.

55 gr. bullet ( your choice) and IMR 4895 powder..amongst many others...
As Royce just said the other day, load development for the Tikka is put something together, stick it in the gun and fire...they shoot a LARGE variety very well....

Cool. I have both on hand. I also have a T-3 in an 06, so I have high expectations that it will shoot as well. Thanks. CP.

60 grain Hornady SP, with a max load of Varget. Gets the most done for the least price.

Just bought a low round count M595 in 22-250 with a 1-14 twist. So far it likes IMR 4064 and 52 grain AMAX bullets.
I miss Paul Harvey.
