Rick35: I own a bunch of Ruger 77's in centerfire and one Ruger 77 rimfire in 17 HMR and to tell the truth I can't answer your question - I do know Ruger #1 rings won't work there on your Ruger 77. But I do want to prompt you to buy that Ruger 77/22 even at $199.00 without rings that is a GOOD buy! I am starting a search to see if ANY Ruger 77 rings are interchangeable. Best of luck with your new Rifle! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy PS: Maybe I will go down in my gunvault and "eyeball" the rings on my Ruger 77/17 V/T right up next to one of my Ruger 77 centerfire V/T's.

22 Mag?
I killed about 2 dozen muskrats with my aunt's husband's 77/22 Mag. I would love to own one.

You need 2 rings the same height. No 1s and Minis also use pairs the same height, but the 77/Hawkeye series need 2 different heights.

Same rings as all Rugers, but they both need to be the same height.
Centerfire 77s take a taller ring on the rear, shorter on the front.
Rimfire 77s, Minis, and #1s take same height both front and rear.

Rick35: I remembered a Ruger 77/22 V/T that is for sale on consignment ($600.00!) at my local pawn/sport shop and I went and inspected it this afternoon - indeed the 77/22 takes a different ring set-up than the more prevalent centerfire Ruger Model 77's! While the pawn/sport shop had a couple of Ruger factory ring sets for sale they did not have the correct set for the Model 77/22's. Like others mentioned the rings for the Ruger 77/22 need be the same height as each other while the Model 77 centerfire rings are of differing heights. But the shop said they could order the 77/22 rings in quickly. Again best of luck with the 77/22! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
