Does anyone here have any expereince with the 22 K Hornet? I am wanting to load some ammo for my newly aquired BrnoZKW465, and the possibly suitable gunpowders I have on hand are Lil Gun, AA#9, and H110. I have 50 fireformed brass and a hundred 35gr Hornet V Max bullets.

Thanks in advance for the help and intel!

I would like to hear your results with the K-Hornet. I have a standard Hornet on the way. I have never tinkered either one but the K-Hornet sounds interesting!

22 k hornet is really good , i still like the original hornet, try some federal small pistol match primers(if you can find any} and i have always liked the h110 lil gun and 1680 , if you can find some old winchester 680 you will be looking for more (no i wont share)

the 35 v-max was always my favorite in the hornets

the neat thing with a hornet is how far a pound of powder goes and it works great for shooting coyotes in the backyard , yours or the neighbors

I've had good luck with W296 and Lil Gun in mine, both with 35 and 40 gr Vmax's. A full case of Lil Gun and 40's are what I use mostly.

Keep in mind that the Hornet cases vary considerably in capacity. My K Hornet loads tend to be one grain heavier than my regular Hornet loads. I tend to use as much Lil Gun as will fit in my WW cases with 40-46 grain bullets. Lil Gun didn't perk so well with the 34-35 grain bullets. As soon as the weather breaks I plan to try some AA1680. In the past I have had good success with H110/WW296 too.

LilGun & 1680 both rocked in my K-Hornet. the 35 gr VMax shot great, but all in all it has been one of the more agreeable barrels i have loaded for and has shot well with anything in the 35-40 grain range.
