Applied it to a new muzzleloader today and was surprised to see that it was clear like alcohol. The videos I had watched showed it to be grey and it looked thick. Is this the way its supposed to look? If so, when did it change?

the grey stuff was the old stuff and has been replaced. The grey stuff used to stain anything it touched and so they found a better way.
