Has anyone conducted any side by side tests on the overall performance of the above plastic tipped bullets in media?

Curious in overall bullet performance (eg, weight retention, accuracy, bullet shape after impact, penetration etc).

I'm also curious on the distance from the tip of the furthest bent petal to base of the bullet, with at least a 5 bullet example from each brand. I'd also be curious as to how they perform with various twist rifles, also including left hand twist.

What happens to the plastic tip and how far does that penetrate inside the animal? Do the different tips of like weight bullets have different weights and does that affect stability at distances past 487 yards if launched at less than 2743fps?

I can say from experience that the plastic tip can stay in the critter. I shoot NBT's in my '06. I was eating some venison and bit down on something hard. It was a green piece of plastic, the tip of a .30 cal ballistic tip. It survived the trip thru the grinder and ended up in some sausage.

Thanks RedRabbit for the link.

Interesting read, though.

Steelie brings up some good points.

Anyone else?

all of "this" vs. "that" is overrated....
put the projectile where it is supposed to go at a decent speed and I think good things will happen
