Thinking about rebarreling my daughters .243. Thinking of a 9 twist to shoot the 90+ grn bullets. Where can I find a barrel, Broughton, Krieger, etc.

Id go 22-24" #3 8 twist. Barrel preferences are like ford vs chevy. Pick whatever you like. Broughton, brux, rock creek is what I'd look for.

I'd order it thru the 'smith you plan to use for the rebarrel
What is on it now? You could look for a 7 or 700 takeoff with the factory 9.25 twist
My 10 twist hart shoots the 90gr etips, 95gr BT and 100gr partition wonderfully

I built my Grandson's 6X47 Lapua with a 10twist to shoot 95grain bullets.Been in the safe for 2 years because of my Son's law school. We took it to the range yesterday and it wore out the 10 ring.

243's that are built with a good minimum saami spec reamer in a match barrel will shoot in the same hole also. 6x47 Lapua brass is hit and miss on availability. If obama gets his way, this stuff will not be available for import anymore, then you will be stuck in making the brass out of 22/250 brass(which is easy to do).

If that 7.5 twist Brux in the classifieds is still for sale I'd have that coming. $320 and no wait.

Look through kreiger's inventory page, they keep a bunch of barrels on hand. If they have one in the twist you want then call them & have them turn it to your desired contour. A buddy did that a couple of months ago, he needed a 6mm 8 twist in a Remington varmint contour. Kreiger showed a bunch of MTU target contours in stock so they took one & contoured it for him. He had it a couple of weeks later. It doesn't cost anything, if you have a barrel & send it in to be recontoured they'll charge you, but its free if they do it on an in stock barrel.
