Has anyone ever tried one of the Mcmillan Lazzeroni Thumbhole stocks with edge technology? I have an itch for something a little different. I am intending to put the stock on a 300 wby that wears a #4 Lilja that I would like to keep at 8 pounds without scope.

i hate every thumbhole stock I've ever tried. You need to try it for yourself, regardless of other opinions......

I have a McMillan Lazzeroni Thumbhole stock but it isnt with the edge technology. I like the stock and have it mounted on a 7mm Remington mag action with a 26" #4 Shilen barrel. I wasn't aware they make this stock in the edge.

Thanks for the input guys, I have a Mcmillan BDL style stock on it at the moment, and I just can not warm up to the pattern. I will try and find someone with a Thumbhole pattern to see what it fells like, otherwise I see another Classic pattern in my future.

Point of information. That Lazz thumbhole was designed by Harry Lawson Company, by Randy Lawson, for John Lazzeroni here in Tucson. John had McMillan make the molds from that pattern. I think the Lawson thumbhole has features that makes it different from other thumbholes. There are many subtle features in these stocks. Grabbing any other brand of thumbhole to see how it feels, won't do justice to the Lawson design.

Azshooter you are right. I have a Lone Wolf thumbhole and the McMillan thumbhole. I like them both but there is a totally diferent feel between the two stocks. The McMillan is more comfortable for me.
