Just finished a 700 6.5/06 AI sittin in a a-5 adl. If I put more than 1 in the belly it won't feed, they cram into the action/feed ramp. I'm runnin 140 bergers with plenty of wiggle room.whatcha think?

I'd read carefully what Tanner gave you....the guy that did that post,Big Stick, knows his stuff.
My WAG is your box is set up for a tapered cartridge and the AI is blown out to almost no taper(some call this an "Improvement"?)and the nose of the bullet is not rising into/onto the ramp as it is pushed forward...considering the configuration of AI cartridges, this isn't tough to visualize. The box may need tweaking(?).
What's a surprise is this must have been punched to AI by a smith.....Did't anyone think to have him check function before it left the shop?

I put it together myself, shoots great but doesn't feed for schitt..
Boolits are touching lands, but there's Lotsa wiggle room in the box

Again, how much of the feed rails can you see with the box installed...Read, look at pics, and bend the box lips...Don't sound like you got anything to loose...

Yes back and forth. I'll pull it apart and tinker with it. Is this common with AI builds?

The AI's never feed as well as the original 06 cased cartridges. The feeding issues are not caused by the steep shoulder angle but by the increased diameter at the shoulder which removes the taper from head to shoulder.
