I've bought my daughter an A-bolt II Medallion and I cut the factory stock down to 12 5/8" for her with a pachmayr installed. I want to order her a McMillan Safari Classic Model Stock thats close to the factory LOP so when she is older she'll have a gun that fits her well when she is an adult, My question is when I order a McMillan will it come in-letted for the factory barrel taper or do I need to specify that? and what LOP would be ideal for a woman, figuring she is like her mother and her aunts, she'll be somewhere between 5'10-6'. Just looking for a simple answer and maybe I didn't look hard enough for the barrel inlet question.

Thanks Fella's

P.S. I'm a HS Precision guy so McMillan is a new league for me.

This is what I have

Look at 2d for the barrel inletting. Looks like you already have chosen factory contour.

And specify everything that you can think of, to avoid any confusion.

Woodtick,
I have 4 McMillan stocks and believe they are one of the best money can buy. As to LOP for a woman...I have no idea.
However, when I order the stock I give them all the info I can ,,I even send photos of the barrel so there is less confusion. The 'action area' is always cut out perfect.
My only complaint is the long wait time to get a stock.
My last order, about a year ago, took four months.
I hope this helps.

Ok sounds good! 4 months doesn't seem that bad, I'm still waiting for an HS I ordered in March.

Count on 6 months.

If it took a year I'd be just fine, it's not like she needs it for next 15 years! Just wanna get it, in case life decides to go for the worst.
Thanks guys!

Well, a McWoody?

Might try something more exciting, or at the very least more feminine. Check out some of Deflaves' rifles, or perhaps Boxers polka-dotted magnum opus. (Hint)

Look at 6-9 months for a wait
