It had been a while since I threw a few Ben Franklins at a Savage lever gun, so I recently acquired this old guy. Serial# dates to 1924, should be a model 99C with heavy barrel. I didnt have this model in .303 till now. Front sight might not be correct? Here are a few pics: dave

I've had a number of 1899A SR's and an early 99C or two find their way into my safe, but my 99C's aren't that nice. I'll echo Lightfoot's comment, my d&t gray rat 99C is a tack driver.

Pretty sure i only have one 99c,i do have a couple 99d,s. they are some rare.
