What knives are still made in the USA? Western/Camilus is gone, Schrade is chinese, and gerber and kershaw are a crap shoot from what I've seen. Is buck the lone US made knife? Or are they mixed too like Gerber and Kershaw?
P.S. I know CRKT and Benchmade are made here but what else?

Case knives are all made in Bradford, Pa. Have seen a lot of Bucks were made in China.

Buck made in China? Damn, I guess I should have known since they are a Walmart staple now.
I forgot all about Case.

Buck has some Asian knives, but many of their knives like the good old 112 and 110 folders and most of the older style fixed blades are made in Idaho. Benchmade has an Asian line too, along with their USA made knives. Queen is an excellent U.S. knife maker. Queen builds knives under their own name, and, they build knives for a lot of others too. As an example the Moore Maker line up of bone and stag knives are Queen built. There are U.S. knife makers out there; you do have to do a little research though because many American names are importing their knives. Kershaw, Cold Steel, Al Mar, CRKT, ect. pretty much all import their knives.

It seems like a lot of companies have a line of knives made in the US and then a cheaper line from China or Japan. I know Kershaw, Benchmade, Gerber seem to, and it sounds like Buck does too.
I've never seen a US-made CRKT.

Most Ontario knife models are made in USA. I believe they are a sister company to Queen. KDJ

I have a really old Ontario skinning knife I was given by my Grandmother. I need to put a new handle on it, but I didn't realize they were still making knives. I guess I assumed they went the way of Oneida.
It is an excellent knife too. I would like to put an elk antler handle on it to dress it up a bit.

I guess I was wrong on that one. I don't own any personally but I have heard they are quite nice. I guess I just assumed because of the name. What about Knives of Alaska?

Does anyone know if the Buck 102 and 105 models are still made in the US? I have a 119, purchased many years ago. Holds a fantastic edge, however, I am thinking of getting one of the smaller models.

KaBar still makes most of their fixed blades here in the US. I think Marbles still is too.

Not saying they don't make them, I just haven't seen one. I always assumed they had some US made knives too, given the name. I've looked at a lot, owned one, lost it, and was pretty happy about that. Not a bad knife, but it had a habit of opening in my pocket.

A lot of the names we grew up with are now made over seas but I have found plenty of the old USA made knives on Ebay. Some of them new old stock and then a bunch in poor to excellent condition. They may not be made here any more, but they can still be had.

Randall, Ingram, May, Ruana, and Dozier come to mind. They're custom made in USA. And Robert Hawk. I like German blades, too. Puma and Hen & Rooster have German SS blades on knives made somewhere else.
