Been putting some thought into what I would want as an EDC folder for work. I've wanted one of Rick's Lanny's for a bit but probably out of my price range I'm comfortable with. So after a little searching I see that Case makes one. Anyone have experience with Case's Lanny's clip model? I figured you guys would be the best resource. Seems as though I can get one in the 265-315 range. They worth it?

Rick I would love to but I'm sure it would be the cost of a new rifle.

Vince what's one to expect $$ wise for a Lloyd? Probably too much also. Scared I would lose the damn thing.

Ain't no flies on the case, damned good design, but Vince is right. John's knives just keep getting better and better and there is a ton of value in what you're getting over the case. I carry one of John's daily and I like the fact that I don't worry about usin' the chit outa it. If you want the best of the best, Rick and Brett are it but the damned things are so pretty, I still hesitate about getting blood on 'em. Rick constantly tells me to wear the damned thing out and he'll just build me another, but his and Brett's are damned near like artwork.

Dale I have similar peeves Right now I will not carry a knife Rick made me,a pocketknife,'til someone buys the one in my pocket. I've asked a few guys, some asked me,they all passed on it. I can't see scratching up two,at the same time. But it is different for me as I always have new specials on the menu, here. On the same frigged up notion,I got a client in France that will pay me big bucks for the one that is a safe queen, right now & I won't sell it to him. And,if he knew I heald out,I run the risk of loosing his friendhip & patronageship (is that a word ?) Word Its screwed up. But John's knives, last two batches were really friigin good. Next batch price is going up to cover Paypal & shipping.

Got word from Vince that my J. Lloyd Lannys clip is being shipped Friday! Ordered 3-3/4" closed with stainless shield and bolster with Westinghouse Micarta scales. Wasn't expecting it so soon but I'm really excited to see how it turned out. Ill keep you guys posted. This damn forum is gonna make me go broke.
