Got a chance to buy a marlin 1893 rife 38-55, fair to good shape. grey reciver and barrel mag tube shorten was a full lenth at one time, bore looks good, wood fair, would be used as a shooter. whats a fair price. John

Sounds like a bird's nest on the ground to me. Whine about how cutting off the magazine has flat ruint it. Buy it for $400. Put the magazine back right.
