A friend of mine has a 2011 Ram 2500 diesel and recently had to replace 2 injectors. The dealership said it was bad fuel BUT others bought fuel at the same location without issues. It wasn't covered under warranty! Anyone else hear anything like this? I've heard that Dodge has issues with their EGR system but aren't addressing it. I thought about adding a second fuel filter to mine but even then they wouldn't cover it so I decided to save the $700!

$700 to add a second fuel filter? Look around, someone is making kits for yours and using quality 2 micron filtration. That shouldn't be more than about $200 or $250 with readily available CAT or Baldwin filters. For a Dodge, I would be looking on tdr.com for vendor/member built kits.

Several years ago my Chevy lost all 8 injectors to some really bad fuel. The station's insurance paid for the whole thing. So I installed an Airdog lift pump which has a fuel filter and a water separator. Now it's running a FASS 220. These all use a 2 micron filter. They're much cheaper than a set of injectors.

Would not bad fuel effect all 6 injectors?
