Seriously? I guess he wanted to build it with the Alex Henry forearm so that it handles better better with that 32" barrel and hubble telescope mounted on top... No. 1 .338-378

Good God.....
"The consigner states that a tremendous amount of research was done to select the correct barrel manufacturer, the correct length, and the desired performance with muzzle brake to create this one of a kind rifle."
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.

I don't know what's harder to wrap my mind around...that monstrous 12 1/2 lb blasphemy or the fact that it has 18 bids on it!

It seems to include the scope, which might bring a grand or so when sold used.
Unless they added extra mounting holes for the scope base, though, I could see that base busting the screws right off, when it's fired, even if it is a 12# rifle with a brake.

those bases do use one of the studs from the original quarter rib, though who knows if that custom barrel has the stud in there.

I guess you could mount it on top of a troop carrier.

I, myself, use a consignor to sell my guns on the "net". I refuse to advertise in the local "Shopper's Guide".
Why would I want to give any "Joe Blow" in the world my ph# or tell them where I live? The peace of mind is well worth the few bucks that he charges me... YMMV

Yeah, and all that research lead to a cryo'd Douglass? What a joke.

10 different guys bidded up to $1,800.00??
They all must be from Texas.
I've been told everything is bigger there....

I always try to live by "to each their own"...
but can't help but thinking he could've mucked up anything besides a classic 375 H&H to build it. I'd of liked to had it BEFORE the mods started.
