I know that i have seen this post befor but can not find the info now. Looking for a accurate load (doesnt have to be the fastest)for 280ai with 140gr barnes ttsx. I am shooting a cooper model 52, if anyone has the overall length that would be great also. Thanks in advance for info guys!

With my 280AI and TTSX I use 64 grains of RL22, usually gives me around 1/2" @ 100 yds and 3150FPS.

I also use 64.0 gr of RL 22 with 140 TTSX and Nosler brass with accuracy equalling handwerk's results. It is a max load. My OAL is 3.371. Mod 70 with Lilja barrel chambered and accurized by Kevin Weaver.

I had equal accuracy with two lighter loads of RL 22: 59 and 61 gr. All other components same. Either of these would be fine hunting loads. I killed a bull elk at 400 yd with 59 gr load. It's slower but plenty sufficient.

IMR 4350 gave even better accuracy with two loads 56.0 and 57.0 gr. All other components same.

I load the 140 gr AB with 64.0 grs RL 22, avg MV is 3240 fps from a 24" barrel.

I use the 140gr TTSX ahead of 59gr of IMR4831 in both of my Coopers.I am using Nosler brass,Federal 210 primers,and load to 3.325".Velocity is from 3150fps to 3175fps.
