Also although he had been around since 2012 he only had 50 posts.


So after all that, I feel fine about letting it go to Miguel.

Hitman not your business and this is the last I am commenting on it. In the almost 20 years I have been on here I never pmd I’ll take something then go dark for an entire 24 hrs, so maybe I am old school like that.

I promptly responded to his pm with my PayPal info as he requested in his pm to me and then nothing for 24hrs, which I thought is a reasonable time frame with todays phone access to this forum.

Not sure what the protocol is, as there never is one on the fire lol, but I have never had something like that happen so far, except a few times when guys went dark after changing their mind and just don’t ever respond.

Quigley wasn’t one of those. I accepted his excuse and I am done with it. A senior member whom I have dealt with before posted an I’ll take it when I reposted and contacted me right away about payment etc…. Like it is supposed to happen.

Sometimes chit happens and it sucks! I really don't see how this is even an issue. Low post count, no offense quig, but a guy does have to wonder with all the folks out there, but, it doesn't appear to be a problem with AK stepping up either. Class move on his part. Had a guy once say he'd take a couple things I had once, gave me two hours and withdrew cause I didn't answer, no harm no foul, I ain't married to the internet. If I was we'd be divorced. Good move on everyone's part honestly

Sold a knife to a member , father in hospital, couldn't respond right away, as he was taking mother to hospital, etc. I did not know all that at the time

Appreciate it guys. Honestly, it was as much timing as anything. I had it out for a possible trade with another member. Will give quigley another day or two to think it over; then back in the safe. These are great scopes.

Let’s relax. We’re in an environment these days of increasing tensions (for whatever reason), indecision (money wise, wants/needs), scammers and of course general life problems/obstacles. I ALWAYS offer my personal cell number to a person I’m doing a deal with if I feel it’s necessary, as getting on here sometimes is not on your mind. I’ve been guilty of not getting on here for days. Spence has some great stuff, I’d not cut my nose off to spite my face over this incident. AK helped in this case, but all in all we have a good core group and we all seem to be similar in what we like. Again, trade cell numbers and this issue goes way down. Just my opinion of course. I’ll never have anyone say I’m a poor communicator.

I’ve missed some great deals here and I’ve scored some great deals here I’ve been blessed with great communication on every transaction I’ve had here (personal contact numbers always exchanged and communication has always been great) I’ve gotten to a point I don’t sweat it when I miss something There is always something else out there and in some cases something I wanted it needed more I don’t want to burn a bridge with anyone here (Cause there are some people I would do anything I could for),, things happen This forum has been WONDERFUL It’s made me laugh and made me mad........ On another note those AH scopes are excellent . I have several in 2X7 and 3X9. I also have a couple AH Rimfire in 2X7.

Now , I am not disappointed I could not buy this one , just way too much $$$$$.

The classifieds have sure become dramatic over the past few years.

I have never had an issue here. Over the years I have given away tons of stuff for free, loaned out gunsmithing tools that always come back, bought a ton of stuff and sold a ton of stuff with no issues.

I have mostly dealt with senior guys and have met a few in person for a beer while hunting places.

A stand up group as a whole, always a few exceptions and malcontents.

Spence is a great guy, I’ve dealt with him on here and other forums. I’d buy from him in a heartbeat, shipping and communication has always been great, and I’m sure that there is a pile of guys on here and other forums that can say the same about him. Thanks also Spence for keeping it cool, I get tired of the drama.
