I feel reluctant to let this go but I gotta go to a more closed or vert grip style rifle to shoot the way I like and I think I’ve found a rifle that works for that. I bought this from gunnut308 a few months back so if I can’t answer any questions maybe he will chime in. Shot sub MOA with the only ammo I’ve tried. Action is slick.

Pre-64 action, fwt bottom metal, tuned trigger

Hart Stainless 22in Fwt contour .280 Rem

McMillan featherweight stock

Barrel and chamber work as well as bedding done by Karl.

$1950 shipped with sling and bases
$2500 with scope and rings
What a nice rifle!
gunnut308 is chasing turkeys so he might be out-of-pocket for a few days but if he had it, ya know it was done right.
It’s a sweet setup!
That's a nice one.....
What is not to like! This one should sell quickly.

This is a great looking rifle. I’m surprised this is still here. It’s been clicked on a bunch.
Im sure I’ll regret it, never been more excited to get a rifle than when I got this one. But I guess if it doesn’t fit the way I shoot then it won’t get the use it deserves.
Nice, if you don't need the $$ for anything special, If I was you, I'd would keep it.

If I don’t win the rifle I’m bidding on I just might

That scope, as pictured, is a heavy pig. What is the bare weight of the rifle, without the scope? Why does it not "fit" your shooting style? Pretty sweet looking pre 64.
[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc] apologies for the bad lighting, not at the porn studio rite now… 😎
I’ll retake the pic, it shows up in my photos but not when I post it lol

I’m glad he kept the black light off, but I do as well.

Nice rifle. Remember the question about a week ago, about the rear of the trigger guard? That picture shows the same thing that I've posted on some of these Mcmillan stocks. As for the weight, 7 1/4 pounds is not bad. A FWT bottom metal would reduce the weight, by a little, if anyone was too concerned. Those swirly stocks were known to be heavy. The pic is proof of that.
Those Mc Swirly’s must be pretty heavy. I’d have never guessed it weighed that much. My 30-06 with the same scope and mounts hits 8lbs on the nose.

Nice rifle.

My old M70 280 with similar barrel and an edge stock comes in around 6 1/2 bare.
Contour is a little bigger I believe I was told.
