Paid $3.99 today in Idaho Falls. Last week it was around $3.50. The day Biden literally took office I paid $1.92. We bought a new pacifica plug in hybrid van in February last year. At te time it didn't make sense with $2 gas. I told my wife then that by summer gas would be $3 and by the end of 2021 it would be $4. My wife remembered and let me know in December that I was wrong because gas was only $3.50 then not $4.


Things were a bit better than I predicted. It's this year that I'm not sure what to predict. I do think it's possible that we'll see $6 gas this year in Idaho but with the mid terms coming the dems will do what they can to manipulate things until after the election. I drove from Lakeway Texas yesterday to Denton. Gas was $3.99 to 4.09 at Buccees (love the Beaver). I saw diesel as high as $5.14.

Still just shy of $4.00 a gallon, here, unless you pay in pre-1965 dimes, quarters, or half dollars. Then gas is only about twenty cents a gallon, just like it was back before 1965.

You make a really good point. Actually the silver in $4 of pre 1965 silver is worth over $72 at the close today. At $4 a gallon that would get you at least 18 gallons. Our money is losing value. Some things are actually less expensive in gold or silver.

Your President Brandon has driven fuel prices through the roof here in Oz too. The best I can do in my local area for premium diesel is the equivalent of $US5.42 per US gal. That is up by more than 45% over the past year.

I probably have you all beat for the highest fuel cost. $31.99 per gallon today, plus tax. (local 10% alcohol is $3.99 here today at the station)

I Bought a gallon of Stihl Motomix at the local Bomgaar's Farm Supply. It is premium alcohol-free fuel, premixed with Stihl synthetic oil. Can says 2 years life and stability after opening. Stupidly expensive, but can save headaches. Could have bought premium, alcohol free gas, added the two cycle oil and fuel stabilizer. Probably 1/2 price. (I normally do that)

My old pickup had a rusted out brake line, so I could not drive that today. No way was I going to get the gas smell in my new SUV. Something with gas always seems to leak or get spilled.

Just bit the bullet and paid the price. One gallon of fuel will probably run the leaf blower and string trimmer, most of this year.

Just saw one local station as I drove home was $3.59 for 87 and $4.99 for diesel.

Both went up 50 cents/gallon from yesterday.
4.29/gallon for 87 octane.

Well over $7 a gallon for diesel in town today.

And the fuggers have propane up to $3.75 a gallon now.
