Jim and I did another run to Mekoryuk and this time he was the permit holder. We had to look long and hard for a decent bull, but the weather was in our favor and things went smoothly...

I don't know what you're talking about.
Even so, I expected a good solid "Blow me!" instead.
Cool. That some pretty open looking country. How far was the shot?

Dave,
That joker looks like it has some really nice hooks. Very nice.
Was that a drawing hunt or a tier hunt?
B D...

Give a holler when you have a spare minute...
What makes a way-cool rug is to get two of those things, and have the back halves sewn together.
Pictures are awesome, nice ox!
Not to mention them things are good eating!
These two seem to pull wool wherever they roam! nice going,, And looks to be a helll of a nice bull
Nice ox for Jim. Musta been a long shot as them pants musta spooked him!
Have to thank the Queen, for the arctic gear....
The shot was probably around 70yds.
It was hard to get vid coverage, and even stills, in the cold temps. The cameras just didn't wanna work......

Things are back in balance.
BD,
Nice! Through all that wool, how big is the carcass? I'm wondering about how big they are without all that extra loft...
SS

I'm from Virginia. Which one is the musk ox?
Jim
I'd guess he weighed around 600lbs, though it's a tough guess. Once the hide is off, they look a lot smaller than when they're running around with all that hair.
Jim is doing a head mount, couldn't talk him into life-size. They are good eating, but chewy.
