Found this on a blacktop county road. You can see the asphalt where it skipped...

I don't know what it is, really. Looks like a tool, large end and smaller end patterns.

Only thing I could think of was a sort of key, like to remove certain lug nuts with cars, but that doesn't fit either.

Anyone know?

I dunno but if it says Snap-On it’s probably worth its weight in gold. 😀

It kinda looks like some kind of extension handle for shutting off a valve?….

These guess the tool threads are more interesting than they let on. 😀
Yep, lug nut.

4 way for gun on a Utility Bucket truck . Square hardware both 3/4 and 5/8
I'm doubting it's used for anything with a hex because the chewed up side looks like it was/is 4 or 8 sided. Maybe a wrench that the water meter guys use?

That's what I was leaning towards.

RAM is correct. It is a lineman’s socket for square headed bolts and hardheads.
Fell off of the linemans truck. He's not gonna be happy at the next stop.

I'd give it back to him! Iffen I knew who it was...

Don't have much use for it, myself.

Thanks guys!

Noppers. That isn't a "meter key." Not for any water meter I've ever worked around.

I'd be more prone to say "lug nut tool"!
I dunno?
Left handed, underwater, side weaving basket attachment!?

Yup, Lineman's tool. Carried one in my bucket for years.
