sounds to me like the police department was protecting one of their own from a bounty hunter or bondsman whatever the case was there and the sheriff's department was going to help do the right thing. which seems to be the case more and more when it comes to sheriff versus police from what I see
Looks like a dik measuring contest between a bunch of guys without much to measure turned into a circle jerk. Blue lights, badges, and attitude cases on full display- - - - -and these guys wonder why they "don't get no respect!" LOL!
I simple phone call making a notification would lessened that unnecessary mess! Always notify any agency that may need to know or absolutely needs to know what's going on. That video is a unicorn in my experience. I guess it could happen but I never saw anything on or even near that level in my career.
There's a long history of sheriff departments and police departments not getting along.
Loved going to the yearly Pigbowl football games as a kid. One Uncle was Sheriff and One Police. Canceled it eventually sometime in late 80's to many injuries I guess.

Police don't like the fact that the Sheriff is the highest law enforcement in the county, they want the power, fortunately for us that ain't the way it is.
Fact of the matter is the City boy was way the fuqk out of line and should be without a job.

So, by watching that video, I should be able to shove a cop out of my way without getting 20 charges laid against me while the cop takes a fake soccer-dive and gets a sympathy ride to the hospital in an ambulance??
I cannot speak about the command level disagreements between Departments they may have happened but I was not present for them. I can speak to the on the road day to day relationships. No real issues, we played well together. We played for the same team, with the same goals, just different uniforms!

Well said, I would add EMS, Fire and Wrecker service....one big family
The posted video is most definitely the exception and not the rule! I realize that no matter what we say or do to some people it is never good enough. The video is a poor example of inter agency cooperation! They should be embarrassed by it. We do however appreciate the support we get. Thanks!
